I entered my card details on a fake site: what now?

Freeze your card if possible, then immediately call your bank using an official number to ask about blocking it. Do not approve any new banking notifications and review recent transactions with the bank.

I opened a suspicious link: am I at risk?

Close the page and do not enter anything. A click alone does not prove your device is infected. If you entered a password, ran a file or approved a payment, take the corresponding steps and contact your bank if a payment is involved.

A fake bank adviser called me: what should I do?

Hang up and contact your bank through its official app or the number on your card. Do not share further codes or passwords or approve a request from the caller. If you granted remote access, disconnect the device from the network.

Open WhatsApp on your phone and follow its official sign-in recovery using your number without sharing the new code. If you still have access, check linked devices, sign out unknown ones and enable two-step verification.

I received a fine by text: is it fake?

A text about a fine does not authenticate the sender as ANTAI. Do not pay through the received link: type antai.gouv.fr yourself and verify the notice through an official channel. If you entered card details, contact your bank immediately.

A lockout may follow repeated login attempts without indicating a hack. Check security alerts and use recovery through the official site or app. If access or settings changed without your knowledge, secure your email account too.
