I received a fine by text: is it fake?

Check an ANTAI fine warning without following its link or sharing card details.

First action

Do not pay through the text. Open antai.gouv.fr yourself to check the official process and how to verify the notice.

Then take these steps

  1. Keep the message and inspect the link address without opening it. ANTAI branding or its name in a text does not authenticate the sender.
  2. Check the notice and its references through official channels opened separately. An unconfirmed claim does not remove the need to verify a possible real fine.
  3. If you entered card details on the fake page, contact your bank immediately. If you entered a password, change it on the official service.
