HOW IT WORKS
A clear answer in three steps
Submit the item
Paste or import the suspicious item without interacting with it further.
Run the checks
SecurCheck examines technical signals and available sources to assess the risk.
Take the right action
The report explains the evidence, limitations and practical precautions to take.
What SecurCheck checks
The module extracts locally available metadata and technical clues. Missing metadata is common and never proves that an image is fake.
- Dimensions and file format
- EXIF and software markers
- Location metadata when present
- Known AI-tool signatures
What to do when something looks suspicious
Stop interacting with the item, preserve the evidence and contact the person or organisation through a separately verified channel.
A SecurCheck score supports a decision but is not a certification or an absolute guarantee. New, private or unavailable signals may remain unobservable.
Spot signs of forged supporting documents and image-based document fraud
AI generation and editing tools make misleading visuals easier to create. HR, finance, legal and compliance teams may receive false identity documents, altered payment confirmations or graphically modified invoices. These documents can make fraudulent requests appear credible and mislead internal approvals.
With SecurCheck Business, give your teams a practical way to analyse a manipulated image or suspicious document before approval. The module examines available metadata, including EXIF and software markers, then looks for compression, noise and texture inconsistencies. These clues can help detect an AI-manipulated photo or edited image when assessed alongside the original source and context. The main forensic calculations run locally in the browser.
C2PA/JUMBF markers may be identified, but this check does not validate their cryptographic signature chain. Missing metadata does not prove fraud, and recompression can produce anomalies similar to editing. The result does not certify document authenticity or replace KYC checks or confirmation with the issuer.
