HOW IT WORKS
A clear answer in three steps
Submit the item
Paste or import the suspicious item without interacting with it further.
Run the checks
SecurCheck examines technical signals and available sources to assess the risk.
Take the right action
The report explains the evidence, limitations and practical precautions to take.
What SecurCheck checks
The report separates local indicators, known hashes and unavailable sources. A clean result is not a guarantee.
- File type and extension consistency
- Executable signatures
- Local suspicious patterns
- Known malware hash lookup
What to do when something looks suspicious
Stop interacting with the item, preserve the evidence and contact the person or organisation through a separately verified channel.
A SecurCheck score supports a decision but is not a certification or an absolute guarantee. New, private or unavailable signals may remain unobservable.
Help protect your network against malicious attachments
A fake PDF invoice, a purchase order in a ZIP archive or an Office document asking you to enable macros can conceal a threat. Fraudulent attachments target employees to introduce ransomware, infostealers or Trojans. A familiar filename or supplier logo does not make a document safe to open.
Give your employees a practical way to check before opening. SecurCheck provides a suspicious file checker to make an online file scan or attachment analysis part of their routine. It examines available structural indicators, consistency between the detected format and extension, and the document’s SHA-256 fingerprint without executing its contents. Static checks highlight detectable scripts, macros and archive indicators; a hash lookup against MalwareBazaar complements them when that source is configured and available.
Analysis time depends on the file and available sources. An unknown hash or a report with no detected indicators does not guarantee a safe file. Analysis complements your antivirus, endpoint protection and internal procedures; do not open an unexpected attachment while doubt remains.
